New natural discovering tour will soon open in Vietnam in July 2015. Travelers will have memorable experiences as walking on meandering roads and contemplating herds of brown-limbed-douc langurs in Son Tra peninsula, about 10 km from the center of Da Nang city to the northeast.
Herds of langurs appear in the green forest. To detect these langurs, apart from observation of the typical color from their hair, travelers can also listen to the sound when they call or jump from branch to branch.
Management Authority of Son Tra peninsula & Da Nang’s tourism beaches are coordinating with Son Tra Forest Protection Unit (FPU) to inspect and invite some travel companies to experience the watching langur tour. To be able to admire brown-limbed-douc-langurs, travelers will have to transfer by car then on foot.
Langurs usually live in high trees over 300m from eyes, so travelers will see this animal via binoculars. Every tour will last about 2 – 3 hours. This animal is in danger of extinction. In Son Tra peninsula, the number of langurs are developing stably with about 300 individuals.
